Calculator
Running cost calculator
Enter the annual energy consumption from the energy label and the unit rate from your electricity bill. The calculator does the rest.
In short
Cost a year = kWh per year x p/kWh / 100. Divide by 12 for a month. Label figures are measured at a fixed room temperature, so a warmer room uses more.

Enter the unit rate from your electricity bill to see the cost.
Label figures are measured at a fixed room temperature, so a warmer kitchen or garden room uses more. Rounded to 0.01.
Reading the label
The UK energy label for a wine storage appliance gives the class letter, the energy use in kWh per annum, the capacity in standard 75 cl bottles and the noise in dB. Only the kWh figure is needed for the running cost.
